The EcoFlow Alternator Charger Plus 1000 is a 1000W in-vehicle DC-DC charger that lets you top up a portable power station while you drive, up to 10x faster than a standard car cigarette socket. With 700W of alternator input and an additional 300W solar input (when paired with the optional solar input cable), it adds 1kWh of charge in roughly 1 hour, making it ideal for motorhomes, 4WDs, freedom campers, and trade vehicles travelling between sites.
It supports the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus and EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus directly via the included XT150 output cable, and also supports the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 with the addition of the EcoFlow Smart Generator Adapter. Reverse charging protects the starter battery, and the EcoFlow app gives you real-time control over charging modes, starter battery status, and power station charge level. Alternator + Solar Flexible Dual Charging
The Alternator Charger Plus 1000 offers more flexible charging options so you can keep topping up even while parked. By connecting solar directly to the alternator charger's solar input port, you free up the XT60i solar input on your portable power station. This lets you run the alternator charger and solar panels at the same time, getting up to 1000W of combined input.
The 300W solar input requires the EcoFlow Alternator Charger Plus 1000 Solar Input Cable (sold separately).
Reverse Charging for Car Battery Protection
With three charging modes, the Alternator Charger Plus 1000 supports reverse charging back to the starter battery from your portable power station or solar panels. This helps maintain vehicle battery health and prevents draining during long stops or storage.
Reverse charging requires an output cable with a communication function (XT150 or 4+8 supported, XT60 not supported). The Alternator Charger Plus 1000 includes one XT150 output cable in the box.

Pairs Well with EcoFlow DELTA Series Power Stations
The Alternator Charger Plus 1000 is built for fast in-vehicle charging of EcoFlow's DELTA Series power stations via the XT150 output. It works directly with the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus (1024Wh, full charge in approx. 1 hour) and the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus (2048Wh, full charge in approx. 2 hours). The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 (4096Wh, full charge in approx. 4 hours) is also supported, with the addition of the EcoFlow Smart Generator Adapter, which connects to the Extra Battery Port. For motorhomes and 4WDs running larger DELTA series power stations, this is the fastest in-vehicle charging option in the EcoFlow range.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Alternator Charger Plus 1000 work with my vehicle?
It works with any 12V or 24V vehicle with an alternator output that supports its draw, including most utes, 4WDs, motorhomes, and vans. Check your vehicle's alternator rating in the owner's manual and ensure it can sustain the charger's load alongside the vehicle's other electrical demands. If unsure, contact us with your vehicle make and model and we'll help confirm.
Does it work with the DELTA Pro 3 or the older DELTA Pro?
Yes, both are supported with the addition of the EcoFlow Smart Generator Adapter, which plugs into the Extra Battery Port on the rear of the unit and converts it to accept the alternator charger's XT150 output. Without this adapter, neither DELTA Pro nor DELTA Pro 3 will accept the alternator charger.
Can I use it with a third-party (non-EcoFlow) power station?
Yes, but you'll need a separate XT60 output cable (sold separately) instead of the included XT150 cable. Reverse charging and battery maintenance modes are not available with third-party units, and charging speed will be limited by the third-party power station's solar input rating.
Will it run my fridge or appliances directly?
No. The Alternator Charger Plus 1000 charges your portable power station only; it doesn't power appliances directly. Connect appliances such as a fridge, kettle, or laptop to the AC or DC outlets on your power station, and use the alternator charger to keep that power station topped up while driving.
Can I install it myself, or do I need a professional?
The Alternator Charger Plus 1000 is designed for plug-and-play installation and auto-starts with the vehicle ignition, so many owners install it themselves, particularly in motorhomes and 4WDs with accessible battery and wiring.
