Overview

The EcoFlow 100W Flexible Solar Panel is a lightweight, semi-permanent panel designed to fit curved surfaces such as van roofs, motorhome roofs, boat decks, and tent or awning surfaces. At only 2.3kg and just 25mm thick, it adds minimal weight to your vehicle and flexes up to 258 degrees to follow the contours of most surfaces without affecting solar input.

It delivers 100W rated output with up to 23% conversion efficiency from monocrystalline silicon cells, an ETFE film surface for durability, and an IP68 waterproof rating built for unpredictable NZ weather. Pre-cut eyelets and a built-in 1m MC4 output cable make it straightforward to mount with adhesive, hooks, or bolts, and connect to most 12V solar systems and compatible portable power stations.

Designed for Curved Surfaces

The 100W Flexible Solar Panel is built to follow the curve of a van roof, motorhome roof, caravan top, or boat deck where a rigid panel cannot mount flush. With up to 258 degrees of flex, it conforms to most curved surfaces without affecting solar input, giving you a clean, low-profile install on the vehicles and surfaces a rigid panel simply will not fit.

Lightweight and Low Profile

At only 2.3kg and 25mm thick, the panel is around 70% lighter than a traditional rigid solar panel of the same wattage. That makes it practical for vehicles where roof load matters, such as motorhomes, campervans, fibreglass caravans, and boats, and easy for one person to handle during installation.

Glass Fibre Reinforced Build

Each of the 182 monocrystalline silicon cells is built using an advanced glass fibre and lamination process. The result is a panel that is flexible enough to follow tight curves while remaining strong enough for years of outdoor use on a moving vehicle.

23% Conversion Efficiency

The panel delivers up to 23% conversion efficiency, giving you usable solar input even in cooler conditions or under thinner cloud cover. Integrated bypass diodes help maintain output when part of the panel is shaded, which matters for NZ motorhome users parked under partial tree cover or against a vehicle's own roof fittings. When paired with a compatible EcoFlow power station, the unit's MPPT controller optimises the input automatically.

IP68 Rated for NZ Weather

With an IP68 rating and an ETFE film surface, the panel is fully protected against dust and built to handle heavy rain, salt air, and humidity. Suitable for coastal use, bach setups, and motorhomes that live outside year round.

IP68 protects the panel surface from water damage. Output will drop significantly during heavy rain or under cloud cover.

Multiple Mounting Options

Six pre-cut eyelets (8mm internal diameter) are spaced around the panel edge, letting you mount with bolts or hooks where appropriate. Alternatively, fix the panel using a structural adhesive (Dow Corning is the EcoFlow-recommended brand) or double-sided foam adhesive tape (3M recommended) for a flush, low-profile install on a clean roof surface. Leave airflow gaps behind the panel to keep cells cool and maintain long-term output.

Universal MC4 Compatibility

The panel uses standard MC4 connectors on a built-in 1m output cable, letting it plug into most 12V or 48V solar systems, third-party MPPT controllers, and EcoFlow power stations using the appropriate adapter cable. To connect to an EcoFlow power station with an XT60i solar input, pair it with the EcoFlow MC4 to XT60i Solar Cable. Multiple panels can be wired in series or parallel using standard MC4 extension cables.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the 100W Flexible Solar Panel suitable for permanent mounting on a motorhome or boat?

Yes. Unlike EcoFlow's portable foldable panels, the 100W Flexible panel is designed for semi-permanent installation on van roofs, motorhome roofs, caravan tops, boat decks, and similar curved surfaces. Mount using the pre-cut eyelets, structural adhesive, or double-sided foam tape, and leave airflow gaps behind the panel for cell cooling.

What connector does the panel use and is a charging cable included?

The panel uses standard MC4 connectors on a built-in 1m output cable. No MC4 to XT60 charging cable is included with this panel. To connect to an EcoFlow power station with an XT60i solar input, you will need the EcoFlow MC4 to XT60i Solar Cable, sold separately.

Can I connect multiple 100W Flexible panels together?

Yes. Multiple panels can be wired in series (to increase voltage) or in parallel (to increase current) using standard MC4 extension cables. Always check that the total voltage and current stay within your power station's or charge controller's input limits, and use panels of the same wattage in the same string for best performance.

How do I mount the panel and what surface preparation is needed?

The panel has six pre-cut 8mm eyelets around the edge for bolt or hook mounting. For adhesive mounting, clean and degrease the surface first, then use a structural adhesive such as Dow Corning or 3M double-sided adhesive foam tape. Leave gaps between the panel and the mounting surface so air can flow underneath, which keeps the cells cooler and extends service life.

Can the panel handle rain, salt air, and NZ coastal conditions?

Yes. The panel surface is IP68 rated and coated with ETFE film, which handles dust, heavy rain, salt air, and humidity well. It is suitable for coastal motorhome use, bach roofs, and boats. Output will drop significantly under heavy rain or cloud cover, so plan your daily generation around clear-sky figures rather than worst-case weather.
