Overview
The BLUETTI PV100 is a 100W foldable solar panel that charges a portable power station directly from the sun. It weighs 4.95kg, folds in two down to 595 x 564.5 x 55mm, and is built for camping, freedom camping, the bach, and any trip where you need to put charge back into a power station without mains.
The panel outputs DC through standard MC4 connectors and ships with a 1.5m MC4 to XT60 cable, so it plugs straight into the solar input on a small BLUETTI power station such as the EB3A, AC50P or AC70P. At 100W it is sized to recharge a compact unit in a few hours rather than to refill a large one, so it suits the smaller end of the range. Real output depends on sun angle, cloud, season and location, so treat 100W as the rated figure at standard test conditions rather than what you will see all day. The PV100 is a panel only, and the power station is sold separately.

The PV100 folds in two and weighs 4.95kg, packing down to 595 x 564.5 x 55mm with a built-in carry handle. A kickstand on the back lets you stand it up and angle it towards the sun, so you can set it on grass, gravel or a deck and move it as the sun tracks across the sky.
Up to 23.4% Cell Efficiency
The PV100 uses monocrystalline silicon cells rated at up to 23.4% efficiency, so more of the light landing on the panel becomes usable charge. The cells sit under an ETFE lamination, a durable outer layer suited to being folded, packed and set up outdoors repeatedly.
The 100W rating is measured at standard test conditions: irradiation of 1000W/m2, cell temperature of 25°C, atmospheric mass number AM 1.5, with a measurement tolerance of plus or minus 3% on rated power.
Quiet, Fuel-Free Charging
Solar charging runs with no fuel, no fumes and no engine noise, which matters at a campsite or a bach where a generator would not be welcome. Output does depend on the weather: overcast or shoulder-season days in New Zealand will generate noticeably less than midday summer sun, and shading across the panel will cut output sharply.

Pairs Well With
At 100W the PV100 is sized for BLUETTI's smaller power stations, where it can put a meaningful charge back in over a few hours of sun. It is a natural match for the BLUETTI EB3A (268Wh, roughly 3.6 hours from empty in good sun) and the BLUETTI AC50P (504Wh, roughly 6.7 hours), and BLUETTI's own manual names the EB3A directly. On both, use one PV100 at a time rather than wiring two together. It will also charge the larger BLUETTI AC70P (864Wh), though at roughly 11.5 hours a single 100W panel is slow going for that unit, and a bigger panel suits it better. The PV100 is not the right panel for a large station like the Apex 300: at 2764.8Wh you would be looking at well over a day of sun. Which BLUETTI power stations is the PV100 the right size for?
The smaller ones. On a BLUETTI EB3A (268Wh) a single PV100 is roughly 3.6 hours from empty in good sun, and on an AC50P (504Wh) roughly 6.7 hours. Both accept the panel's 24.62V open circuit voltage inside their 12V to 28V solar input window, and the included MC4 to XT60 cable plugs straight in. The AC70P (864Wh) works too, at roughly 11.5 hours, which is a long day of sun for one panel. For a large station such as the Apex 300, a single 100W panel is the wrong tool: it would take well over a day, and a larger panel is the sensible choice.
Can I connect two PV100 panels to the same power station?
Not on the EB3A. BLUETTI's manual is explicit that you should use only one PV100 with that unit. On other power stations it depends on the model: whether panels are wired in series or parallel, the combined voltage must stay inside your unit's solar input range, and the combined current and wattage must stay under its limits. If you are thinking about running two, please confirm the setup with us first.
Can I use the PV100 with a power station from another brand?
Often, but check two things first. The panel's 24.62V open circuit voltage must sit inside your power station's solar input voltage range, and you need the right connector: the PV100's own output is standard MC4, and the cable in the box ends in XT60. If either does not match your unit, please confirm compatibility with us before purchasing.
Is the PV100 waterproof?
No. BLUETTI's manual describes the panel as water-resistant rather than waterproof, and says not to leave it out in rain or water for any length of time. It will cope with a passing shower or splashes, but bring it in when the weather turns, and do not use it in extreme conditions such as thunderstorms or high wind.
What affects how much power the panel actually makes?
Weather, sun intensity, shading, the angle you set the panel at, temperature, location, and dust or dirt on the surface. The 100W figure is measured at standard test conditions, which are laboratory conditions rather than a paddock in July. In shade or under heavy cloud, output drops sharply and can fall to almost nothing, so angling the panel at the sun and keeping it clear of shadows makes a real difference.
