Overview

The BLUETTI SORA-60 is a 60W foldable solar panel that recharges a portable power station or solar generator while you are away from mains power. It is built for tramping, freedom camping, the bach, and van or RV trips, where a light, packable panel keeps your power station topped up through the day.

The panel folds into eight segments and weighs 1.4kg, so it slips flat into a pack. Monocrystalline cells reach up to 24.7% conversion efficiency, while the durable ETFE lamination and IP65 splash-resistant rating shrug off light rain and dust. It feeds a power station through its DC5521 output using the included 1.2m DC5521-to-XT60 cable.

What's in the Box?

Note: The SORA-60 is a solar panel only. It has no built-in battery and needs a separate power station to charge and store energy.

60W of Foldable Solar Power

The SORA-60 delivers up to 60W from monocrystalline cells, feeding a compatible BLUETTI power station through its DC5521 output. It is a simple way to extend your runtime on a long weekend or a multi-day trip when you are away from the grid.

Charge Devices Directly

The SORA-60 does more than feed a power station. Its built-in adapter carries a DC5521 output at 60W, a USB-A port at 18W, and a USB-C port at 30W, so you can charge a phone, tablet, or other USB devices straight from the panel while the sun is out.

24.7% Conversion Efficiency

With up to 24.7% conversion efficiency, the SORA-60 makes the most of the daylight it gets. Real-world output depends on sun angle, cloud, shading, temperature, and the season, so an overcast or shoulder-season NZ day will generate less than clear midday summer sun.

Built to Travel and Take the Weather

The panel folds into eight segments and weighs just 1.4kg, packing down to 226 x 210 x 70mm. The two included carabiners let you hang it from a pack, a tent, or a railing to angle it at the sun. Durable ETFE lamination and an IP65 rating protect it against splashes and dust, though it is splash-resistant rather than waterproof, so do not leave it out in heavy rain.

Pairs Well With

The SORA-60 is built for small, portable power stations where a light panel keeps pace with the battery. It is a strong match for the BLUETTI AC50P (504Wh), which it tops up in a few hours of good sun. It will also trickle-charge the larger BLUETTI AC70P (864Wh) over a full day, though a higher-wattage panel suits that station better. The panel outputs through a DC5521 port and ships with a 1.2m DC5521-to-XT60 cable, so if you are not sure it fits your power station's solar input, ask us before purchasing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the SORA-60 waterproof?

No. The SORA-60 is IP65 splash-resistant, so it handles rain splashes and dust, but it is not waterproof. Do not leave it out in heavy rain or let it sit in water.

What affects how much power the panel produces?

Real-world output depends on the weather, sun intensity, shading, the angle you set the panel at, temperature, location, and how clean the panel is. On an overcast or shoulder-season NZ day you will get less than under clear midday summer sun, and a heavily shaded panel produces very little.

Will the SORA-60 work with my power station?

It is designed to charge a BLUETTI power station, and it can work with a third-party power station too, as long as the panel's voltage sits within your station's solar input limit and you use the right connector. The panel outputs through a DC5521 port and ships with a 1.2m DC5521-to-XT60 cable. If you are not sure what suits your setup, ask us before purchasing.

How do I set it up?

Unfold the panel, angle it towards the sun, and connect it to your power station's solar input with the included 1.2m DC5521-to-XT60 cable. The two carabiners let you hang it from a pack or tent while it charges.
