Overview

The BLUETTI RV5 is a 5kVA all-in-one power hub built for motorhome, caravan and bus conversions. It takes the inverter, the solar charge controller, the vehicle charger and the DC converter you would normally buy and wire separately, and puts them all in one wall-mounted unit. Running from a 48V battery bank, it delivers 5000W of continuous 230V power for your AC appliances, plus a 12V or 24V DC output for lights, pumps, fridges and the rest of your vehicle circuits.

Charging is just as flexible. The RV5 takes up to 1800W of solar across two PV inputs, charges from your vehicle while you drive, and accepts shore or generator power at up to 5000W, switching to the batteries in 20ms or less if that supply drops out. 5000W of 230V Power On Board

From a 48V battery bank the RV5 delivers 5000W of continuous 230V power, so household appliances run in your vehicle just as they would on mains power. Its UPS function switches to the batteries in 20ms or less when shore power drops out, and the dedicated DC output feeds your 12V or 24V circuits at up to 100A. Running AC and DC loads together, total draw is capped at 6000W, depending on your battery bank.

Four Ways to Charge

Plugged in at a powered site, the RV5 charges from shore power at up to 5000W, and a generator connects through the same AC input at the same rating. On the road it charges from your vehicle: 600W on a 12V system or 1200W on a 24V system. Parked in the sun, its two PV inputs take up to 1800W of solar across a 12V to 50V input window. Charging times depend on your battery bank and conditions, and charging cables are sold separately (the RV5 box includes mounting hardware only).

Built for Motorhome, Caravan and Bus Builds

The RV5 is made to live in a vehicle. It mounts flat against a wall on its steel backplate and sits just 159.9mm deep, so it tucks into a locker or wardrobe without giving up living space. The box includes a drilling template with mounting screws and anchors, the terminals are pre-labelled, and the manual steps through every wiring stage. It is an indoor unit (IP20): give it a dry, ventilated compartment, mounted separately from the battery bank.

Smart Control from Your Phone or the Wall

The RV5 pairs with the BLUETTI app, so you can see system status and adjust charging settings from your phone. For a permanent display, BLUETTI's Epad touchscreen (a separate product) joins the system as a wall-mounted dashboard showing power flows, battery state and controls at a glance.

Every Connection Has a Home

Every connection a vehicle power system needs is on the RV5: two solar inputs (PV2 doubling as the vehicle charging input), the AC input for shore or generator power, the 230V AC output, the configurable 12V/24V DC output, the 48V battery terminal rated to 150A, and communication ports for the battery BMS and BLUETTI's Epanel, along with a grounding terminal and a battery temperature sampling port. The RV5 is the hub of a 48V system rather than a standalone unit. It is designed to run from BLUETTI's B4810 51.2V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery and the RV5-to-B4810 connection cable, both sold separately. Can I install the RV5 myself?

The RV5 is designed for DIY-friendly installation: the wiring terminals are pre-labelled, the manual walks through mounting and wiring step by step, and the box includes a drilling template plus mounting screws and anchors. What comes in the box, and what do I need to buy separately?

The standalone RV5 ships with the hub itself, a user manual and warranty card, a drilling template, and eight M8 wood screws with eight anchors. Everything else is sold separately: the RV5 runs from a 48V battery bank such as BLUETTI's B4810 (the RV5 to B4810 connection cable is also sold separately), and solar panels and other accessories are their own purchases. Which batteries does the RV5 work with?

The RV5 is a 48V system: it runs from a 48V battery bank connected to its battery terminal, rated for up to 150A in or out. It is designed to pair with BLUETTI's B4810 51.2V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery, sold separately along with its connection cable. The RV5 also supports four of BLUETTI's B1210 12.8V 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries connected in series as a 48V bank. If you're planning a different battery setup, we're happy to help before you buy.

The RV5 is a 48V hub. How does it power my 12V gear?

The RV5 has a dedicated DC output that can be configured to either 12V or 24V, so it feeds your existing 12V or 24V circuits directly. The DC output is rated at 100A (1360W) in 12V mode and 60A (1620W) in 24V mode, which covers lights, pumps, fridges and the other DC loads in a typical motorhome or caravan.

Can the RV5 keep appliances running if shore power cuts out?

Yes. The RV5 has an uninterruptible power supply function with a switchover time of 20ms or less: when shore or generator power drops out, connected AC appliances carry on running from the battery bank. Charging from shore power or a generator is rated at up to 5000W.

How much solar can I connect to the RV5?

Up to 1800W across the two PV inputs, with an input window of 12V to 50V and up to 50A. PV2 doubles as the vehicle charging input, so while you drive it can instead take up to 600W from a 12V vehicle system or 1200W from a 24V system.

What tools do I need for the installation?

A standard installation needs common hand tools: an Allen key, a Phillips screwdriver, a wire stripper, a drill, an open-ended spanner, a multimeter, protective gloves and silicone-based adhesive for sealing. The manual lists the required tools and walks through each wiring step.
